Religious education programs for adults and children support a rich culture of spiritual nurture at Swarthmore Friends Meeting. 

Adult Religious Education Forums 

Sunday morning forums planned by the Worship & Ministry Committee address themes including Quaker history and practice, the lives of notable Quakers, other expressions of faith and witness, and personal spiritual journeys. Some forums are devoted to worship sharing on particular themes. Forums are usually held the first Sunday of each month during the school year, at 11:45 am. Check our calendar for upcoming dates and topics.

Spiritual Nurture

A year-long spiritual formation program, retreats, and arts and spirituality workshops are some of the ways we we nurture our spiritual growth. Learn more…

Seekers Sessions

Seekers Sessions are small group gatherings designed to support new and experienced members and attenders in exploring Quakerism and their own spiritual journeys. Sessions are scheduled periodically and begin at the rise of Meeting, about 11:15 am. Learn more

Children’s Religious Education

For children, First Day School (Sunday School) activities include an introduction to religious experience using the Faith and Play curriculum and a monthly children’s Meeting for Worship to which adults are invited. Learn more…
