"Prayer of the World"

Prayer of the World is a meditative prayer-poem which brings forth the voice of creation and web of life through earth poetry, photography, and music.  It calls us to awaken to the beauty, the rhythm and sacred connections of the Prayer of life and breath, which is all around and within us - -  and help re-weave the web of life.

Maia and Ken Tapp traveled as pilgrims to the arctic tundra, the glaciers, the Everglades, desert, oceans, rivers, and many other places within the United States and beyond - listening, writing and taking photos.  They have paired the poetry and photographs into a meditative presentation.  Ken Jacobsen composed a song to accompany it.  Prayer of the World has been shared with Quaker meetings and interfaith groups across the country.  Maia recently spent time at Pendle Hill as artist-in-residence, working on and sharing Prayer of the World.
