First Day School. In First Day School (Sunday School), children experience and develop understanding of the traditional Quaker testimonies of simplicity, peace, integrity, community, equality, and stewardship.
The curriculum includes religious learning and experience through the Faith and Play program, which integrates Montessori-inspired storytelling with deep wondering questions and hands-on crafts. Other regular activities include singing and service to the Meeting through preparation of fellowship refreshments,
Special programs. Occasional special programs include the annual Birdwalk Breakfast and Christmas Pageant.
Intergenerational Worship Sharing. Adults and children worship together in an open, casual format during our Intergenerational Worship Sharing, held on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 9 to 9:30 am.
Meeting for Worship. Children are welcome to attend regular Meeting for Worship if they desire. After Meeting for Worship, the children join the community for refreshments during fellowship hour.
The First Day School Committee plans and carries out the children’s programs.
