Fellowship Hour and Potluck Lunches

Every Sunday after Meeting, we gather in the Rushmore Room to enjoy refreshments and each other’s company.  On the third Sunday of most months, we expand our fellowship into a potluck lunch where we share our culinary accomplishments with an appreciative audience. 

Welcome Teas for New Members and the College Community

Swarthmore College students and faculty are invited to get to know us, or get to know us better, at the College Welcome Tea held at the beginning of the fall semester. We welcome and fete all who have joined the Meeting in the previous year at the New Member Tea in late spring. Both teas are held on Sundays after Meeting for Worship. 

Friendly Gatherings

Once or twice a year, hosts open their homes for potluck dinners or afternoon teas that provide a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other better. Sign-up sheets allow everyone to choose a convenient time.

Christmas Dinner and Carol Sing

Each year, on a Sunday evening shortly before Christmas, we celebrate with a special dinner and a family-friendly carol sing. We gather in Whittier Room around the fireplace and a Christmas tree decorated with ornaments made by the children. Everyone enjoys the traditions of this event that have been handed down for many years.
