Local jazz stylists the Dean Maola Trio will be Cookin’ for the Homeless at a benefit concert for Swarthmore Meeting’s Cooking for the Homeless program, which provides meals for guests of the Life Center of Eastern Delaware County in Upper Darby. Led by up-and-coming Swarthmore guitarist Dean Maola, the trio will offer traditional swing plus modern and bossa nova interpretations of jazz and blues standards. The program will also include several numbers by classical guitarist Keith Calmes. The community is invited to hear these fine young musicians and support the Cooking for the Homeless program. Admission is free but donations will be appreciated.
