Adult Religious Education Session

~~”Behold I stand at the door and knock…”  Revelation 3:20
As Quakers, we recognize that there are any number of ways to “open the door” for Spirit to enter our lives.  In their work with the children of the Meeting, our Firstday School teachers often open that door through story, wondering, and creativity.  On November 2 from 11:45 AM - 1:00 PM, the FDS committee will present our community with a discussion and demonstration of the Faith and Play method, focusing on the story:  “Testimonies – Let Your Life Speak”
This story is a wonderful way of presenting the core of Quakerism, and is well-suited as a way of understanding the foundations of Quaker thought and action.   Friends are encouraged to invite others who may have a curiosity about the Quaker faith .  This story can also open new insight for long-time members and attenders, as well.  All are encouraged to take part in this experience.
Like many Quaker gatherings, the Faith and Play method is worshipful.  As you enter the space, be ready to experience Spirit, not only in the silence, but also in the spoken words and visual presentation.  This begins the moment you walk in the door, and continues through the wondering questions, and into the hands-on creative work thereafter.
Are you ready?
